京都のオルタナティヴシーンに突如現れたsheeve、初のフルアルバム。
幾重にも重なる分厚いディストーションと、その轟音の中を漂うヴォーカル、耳を奪うメロディー。Deftones、Hum、Quicksand、Alice in Chains等90年代オルタナティヴ／ポストハードコアに通じる重厚なヘヴィネスと轟音、そこにCocteau Twinsまでを思わせるような幻想的なドリームポップの感触を溶け込ませ、それらをNothingやSoftcultといった現在のシューゲイズ／オルタナシーンへとも接続。
様々な音楽的背景を感じさせながらも、それらを自然に飲み込み、全8曲を通してsheeveというバンドの輪郭を鮮明に浮かび上がらせます。
Forbearをはじめ、エモ／ポストハードコアをそれぞれの解釈で現在の音へと更新するバンドをリリースしてきたLIKE A FOOL RECORDSの流れとも自然に交差しながら、レーベルにまた新たな色を加えてくれた一枚。
ジャケットは京都を中心に活動するタトゥーアーティスト GOKURAKU（SHINONOME tattoo studio） が担当。
レコーディングからマスタリングまで、三重県津市のレコーディングスタジオ nostos オーナーエンジニア、朝倉直浩が担当。


Emerging from Kyoto’s underground scene, sheeve delivers a commanding 8-track debut CD.
Built upon wall-of-sound distortion, floating vocals, and instantly arresting melodies, the record bridges the crushing dynamics of ’90s alt-rock and post-hardcore (Deftones, Hum, Quicksand, Alice in Chains) with the lush, dreamlike textures of Cocteau Twins. Connecting these foundational roots to contemporary shoegaze acts like Nothing and Softcult, sheeve absorbs a rich tapestry of influences into a sharply defined identity.
A fitting continuation of LIKE A FOOL RECORDS’ legacy—alongside roster mates like Forbear—this release brings a striking new color to the label.
